. How can I tell if my Alto Lapins water pump is leaking?

I’ve observed a puddle of coolant under my Alto Lapin after parking, and I’m worried that the water pump might be leaking. What are the signs of a water pump leak, and how can I confirm whether the water pump is the source of the leak?

If your Alto Lapins water pump is leaking, it could be a major cause of coolant loss and overheating. Here are the signs of a leaking water pump:

Coolant Puddle: The most obvious sign is a puddle o r a few s of coolant under the car. Coolant is typically a green o r orange fluid, and if you see it on the ground, it may be coming from a leaking water pump.
Wet o r Corroded Pump Area: You might notice coolant around the water pump area, especially if you check under the hood. The water pump will usually have a weep hole where coolant can escape if the seals are damaged.
Low Coolant Levels: If your coolant levels quickly despite refilling, it could be a sign that the water pump is leaking.
Solution:
If you suspect the water pump is leaking, get it checked by a mechanic. A leaking water pump typically needs to be replaced as its difficult to repair. Regularly check coolant levels to avoid engine overheating in the meantime.
