17" Low Profile Bumpy ride

17" Low Profile Bumpy ride

hi all

i have 17" low profiles in my car and i never had complains with it and i never experinced any bumpy ride or stiffness in my car and all my friends who have low profiles in there cars complain about the bumpy ride or stiffness in suspension with low profiles.........i always go against them and i say all new cars in middle east and europe and far east asia come with low profiles as stock in higher end models....
i wud like feedback from levin bhai especially as he has low profiles in his levin and other members too so we cud clear this general impression in pakistan that low profiles are bad but actually it gives u more control over the car and it keeps u connected with the road .........

what do u guys say..........

other cars which come with low profile tyres have a different suspension setup from the stock models (take the S65AMG as an example, compared to an S350). if you want to have a setup like a higher model of your car you can always look at theier setup and do the same thing.

usually by just fitting reasonably lower profile tyres (like fitting light weight 16's on a civic with 205/45R16's you'll not have a stiff ride but by fitting HUGE rims like 18's with oversized tyres you will be increasing your unsprung weight and you WILL have a harsh ride.

sadly in PK all you get are heavy chinese rims and no matter what you will increase your unsprung weight leading to a harsh ride, this is not the case in europe and the US as you CAN get light rims there.
