2.0d Engine Starting Problem

Having problem starting my 2.0d Saloon.

The problem that I am facing is that the car takes self but dosent start.
This happens at all odd hours. In the morning, or even if the car starts and i take it to the market, park it, come back.....it gives this problem.
Amazingly if the car dosent start, you try after a few minutes and it starts without any trouble.
I have taken the car to the electrician and amazingly it starts in front of him so cant pinpoint the problem...........any ideas?

Also, before i turn the key all engine lights etc are ok. Bas the car dosent start. It takes self but engine dosent start.
It is such a problem that I am unable to identify it.
The car has its own mind.......starts when it wants to start. Else, there is no problem. And its a 2004 2.0d saloon
