2001 prosmatec transmission problem
hi guys.
kal main apni civic VTi oriel prosmatec main shehr se bahir ja raha tha k achanak car nay power lose karna shuru kar di. aisay laga k car netrual (N gear) main chali gai ho.. i shifted to D3 and 2 but to no avail. us waqt car petrol per thi. main nay cng per bhi kar k try ki laikin kuch nahin hua.
phir main nay car switch ON kar k battery ka terminal utaar dia for 5 minutes. phir start ki to 100, 200 meter k baad phir wohi haal ho gaya.
gear change ka indication aata hay meter per... laikin accelerator denay per sirf RPM barhta hay aur kuch nahin hota. i live in a small city iss liay yahan koi kaam ka mechanic nahin milay ga. please give ur valuable suggestions k kya problem hui ho gi ya iss ko kesay fix karain. aaj se pehlay KOI masla nahin hua KABHI BHI... aur gear oil bhi change karvaye huay bhi ziada se ziada 7000 km huay hon ***..... plz give ur opinions.

First things first, drain your ATF, all of it.
Take the filter out, buy a new filter (if you can't find a new one, clean the old thoroughly using petrol and loads of petrol and then use compressed air for some finish, run some water through it, dry it out with compressed air and have a final look at it)
Get a new ATF, a cheap one at that, for example the normal STP/warco fluid, fit all things back together, fill in the ATF, try your car! if it works, you're good, drive it on cheap fluid and if it is running fine, after for about 500 kilometers change to Caltex Texamatic T888 ATF.
If not, then we'll go further.
Good luck.
