A hard ride

I wanted to know what the causes of a hard car can be.

- Is it the shock absorbers.

- The suspension?

or does it have to do with anything else. The car is a Civic 2005. It has done 105000 kms. It is okay to drive and there is no other problem. It does not vibrate or anything else even at 180. But the ride is very hard and therefore the car is a mess to drive on bumpy roads.

Any expert suggestions???
