A new twist to the common MP3 player.. for any car
Now this is something which I had wanted to build for so long.
Since I keep getting rented cars for long official trips, and since I have a CD Based MP3 player in my car (Which I use, among other things, to listen to my vast MP3 based Audio book Collection on long commutes... a 35 hour long version of the DaVince Code anyone ), I could not bring in any of my CDs, cuz most of the crappy XLIs or EXIs that are rented have the stock cassette player.
Hence the only option was to get an MP3 player, and one of those cassette adapters (that look like a cassette, and can be inserted in a normal cassette player). But I had wanted an elegant solution, and has also contacted a couple of Hardware Vendors to discuss the feasibility of manufacturing a low cost device that merges the MP3 player with the adapter, and maybe market it as well down the line when....
Curse the bloody Chinese!!! They beat me to it!!!!
Whenever one thinks of something useful to make (be it software or hardware), the next thing you hear is that they have already made it!!!!
Unbelievable!!!
On a separate note, I believe this is something which all of should have.. so as to listen to our favorite tunes in ANY car.
Maybe someone should look into importing one of these. They don't cost that much ($22=PKR 1320 Approx???) , and are pretty useful. And then you add the respective SD cards. There is a new 32 GB version coming out in the US Soon. So you see, the possibilities are endless!!!
Take Care..
