hi Mate,

you need to calibirate the speedo if you dont get something similar to thr stock size e.g.

your stock size may be :

195/60 R 13

where
195 is the width of the tyre
60 is the height of the sidewall of the tyre
and 13 is the rim size.

when upgrading your rims / tyres you have to make sure that at any speed the rolling difference between the new and old tyres is the same.

so if you stock tyres are

195/60 13

the replacement 15" wheels will be

205/45 15 or 195/50 15

as they will be very close to originals.

Now you have to remember that when you in crease the rim size they tyre side wall has to reduce to compansate the increased rim size. and you have to go low profiles tyres.

with low profile tyres

pros: good grip , better handling, etc.

cons: pot holes on the road can do excessive damage to your rims and at high speed can cause loss of control. so you have to drive carefully
