Amplifier Problem - Help Needed

Dear all,

Yesterday I installed my old Amp in my car and found that it got direct.

Explanation
Amplifier have 3 ports (+, remote, Ground)
Remote acts as relay switch to ON the amplifier, as + and ground are already attached to power the amplifier.

However, my amp is getting ON with only 2 ports i.e. + and ground.

What must be the problem and what should I do.
