Bypassing ignition coil resistance at Self-Start

Bypassing ignition coil resistance at Self-Start

Experts,

My electrician has suggested me to bypass ignition coil resistance at Self-Start to solve the starting problem on CNG specially in cold weather. Now a days, my car (suzuki FX) starts in 3 to 4 self on CNG.

Electrician suggested me to bypass ignition coil resistance using relay which will only active at the time of self-start. So distributor will get more current and engine will start quickly.

I have experimented it by directly connecting the wire to coil (instead of resistance) and engine starts in 1st self.

But my concern is that it can burn point in the distributor or atleast point life will become less.

Please suggest, is it a good idea.

it'll be ok... go for it. by the way, no matter what car it is, it should start on first self, if the engine, battery, and ignition self are all in perfect working conditions.
