Cam timing problem

what problems may occure if the timing of valve cam is advance one teeth or reverse? my car is also taking too much air is that relates to timing problem too it all begans when i changed the timing belt of my corolla 2.od.
any one help?

It wont start easily, and engine will seem quieter then before, if u go back one teeth.

It will advance very much with Lot of Noise, if u go up one teeth. starting will be way better then at normal timing.

If engine is taking air, that will be a seperate problem.
