Can a clogged cabin air filter affect the air conditioning in my Alto Lapin?
My Alto Lapin’s air conditioning doesn’t seem to cool as effectively as before. Could a clogged cabin air filter be the cause? How can I tell if the cabin air filter is the problem, and what steps should I take to maintain it in Pakistans climate?

Yes, a clogged cabin air filter can significantly affect the performance of your Alto Lapins air conditioning AC system. The cabin air filter helps to filter out dust, pollen, and other particles from the air entering the cabin through the HVAC system. If it becomes clogged, the airflow through the AC system is restricted, leading to poor cooling and airflow.
Signs of a Clogged Cabin Air Filter:
Weak o r reduced airflow: If you notice that the air coming from the vents is weak o r not as cool, it may be due to a clogged cabin air filter.
Unpleasant odors: A clogged filter can trap dirt and bacteria, causing foul smells when the AC is running.
Foggy windows: If the air circulation is restricted, it may lead to fogging on the inside of your windows, particularly when using the AC.
Solution:
Replace the cabin air filter every 12,000 to 15,000 kilometers o r as recommended by the manufacturer. In Pakistan, where dust and pollution are common, more frequent replacement every 6-9 months may be necessary.
Check the filter regularly if you frequently drive in dusty environments, such as rural areas o r on unpaved roads.
