Can a clogged fuel filter cause starting problems in a Suzuki Mehran?

Sometimes my car takes too long to start, especially in the morning. The battery is fine and self is working. Could a choked fuel filter be the reason?

Yes, a choked fuel filter can cause starting issues, especially in the morning o r when the engine is cold. Here’s why:

Fuel doesn’t flow freely to the engine.

It causes a weak o r inconsistent fuel supply, making cold starts harder.

In carburetor Mehran, it can also lead to air-lock o r poor fuel suction.

If the self starter and battery are working fine, and you still have difficulty starting o r the engine shuts off soon after starting, the fuel filter could be the cause.

Tip: Change the fuel filter during regular tuning o r every 15,000 km to avoid such issues.
