Can a Weak Battery Damage the Alternator in the Toyota Hilux?

A weak o r faulty battery can put extra strain on the alternator. Have you ever replaced a battery only to find out the alternator also needed replacement?

How?
The alternator works harder to charge a failing battery, leading to overheating.
A completely dead battery can cause alternator overload.

Prevention:
Replace weak batteries before they fail completely.
Test battery voltage regularly 12.6V when off, 13.8V-14.5V when running.

If your alternator fails soon after replacing a bad battery, it may have been overworked.
