Can using low-quality fuel cause damage to the catalytic converter in my Alto Lapin?
I’ve been using locally available low-quality fuel for my Alto Lapin, and I’m worried that it may affect the catalytic converter. Could using such fuel lead to catalytic converter issues o r even failure? How can I prevent this from happening?

Yes, using low-quality fuel can indeed damage the catalytic converter in your Alto Lapin, especially in countries like Pakistan, where fuel quality can sometimes vary.
How Low-Quality Fuel Affects the Catalytic Converter:
Higher sulfur content: Poor-quality fuel often contains higher levels of sulfur, which can contaminate the catalytic converter and cause it to fail. The converter’s ability to process these contaminants diminishes over time.
Higher impurities: Impurities and additives found in low-quality fuel can clog the catalytic converter, reducing its efficiency and lifespan.
Incomplete combustion: Low-quality fuel may not burn efficiently, leading to more unburned fuel entering the exhaust system, which can overheat and damage the catalytic converter.
Solution:
Use higher-quality fuel: Opt for fuel from trusted, reliable stations that offer cleaner, higher-grade fuel.
Add fuel additives: If you’re in an area with low-quality fuel, you can consider using fuel additives designed to clean the fuel system and prevent buildup in the catalytic converter.
Monitor engine performance: Ensure that your engine is running smoothly. Poor combustion due to bad fuel can directly impact the converter.
