Can using low-quality fuel cause spark plug issues in my Alto Lapin?

I’ve been using locally available fuel, and I’m worried that the lower quality could affect my Alto Lapin’s spark plugs. Can using poor-quality fuel lead to spark plug fouling o r other issues? How can I prevent spark plug problems due to fuel quality?

Yes, using low-quality fuel can contribute to spark plug fouling and other engine issues. In Pakistan, where fuel quality can vary, it’s important to be aware of how it can affect the performance of your Alto Lapin’s spark plugs.

How Low-Quality Fuel Affects Spark Plugs:

Increased carbon buildup: Low-quality fuel often contains impurities and additives that can leave carbon deposits on spark plugs. Over time, this buildup can cause the spark plugs to misfire o r fail completely.
Incomplete combustion: Poor-quality fuel burns less efficiently, leading to incomplete combustion. This can result in unburned fuel entering the exhaust, which can cause the spark plugs to become fouled.
Premature wear: Low-quality fuel may not ignite as efficiently as higher-quality fuel, causing the spark plugs to wear out more quickly.
Solution:

Use higher-quality fuel: Always choose fuel from trusted, reliable stations that offer cleaner, higher-grade fuel.
Consider fuel additives: In areas where fuel quality is low, you may want to use fuel additives designed to clean the fuel system and reduce carbon buildup in the spark plugs.
Regular maintenance: Ensure that the engine is running smoothly and the air-fuel mixture is properly balanced to avoid additional strain on the spark plugs.
