Can Wax o r Polish on the Windshield Cause Streaks on a Toyota Hilux?

Some drivers apply wax o r polish for better water beading, but others say it causes streaking. Have you tried it, and what was your experience?

Yes, wax o r polish residue can cause streaking if not applied correctly. Some drivers use hyhobic coatings to repel water, but improper application can lead to smears.

When Waxing the Car: Avoid getting wax on the windshield. If it happens, remove it with isopropyl alcohol.
If Using a Water-Repellent Coating e.g., Rain-X: Apply it evenly and buff thoroughly to avoid smears.
Check for Oily Residues: Some car wash soaps and wax sprays leave behind a film that causes streaking.

To prevent streaking, use a dedicated glass cleaner after waxing your car.
