Civic power steering noise...

assalam-o-alaikom,

well i've read many posts of u, i wanted to know one thing...
i've 2000 exi manual, just 29k done... most of the time car remained parked....

now i've encountered a problem whil turning such as u turns i hear a sound like GHOOON n this sound keeps on coming till the streering wheel is turned left or rite, no matter full or half....
secondly this sound doesn't come while stationery, if at stationery i turn the steering wheel to either side, the sound doesn't come. the sound only comes when the car moves with steering wheel turned rite or left....

few days back, i went to honda drive in, they said its ok, n then i showed to a mechanic outside, he told me that power steering pump has become faulty n is to b changed coz the current one is not repairable...

u suggest me plz, wat to do with that sound, steering oil was a bit low a couple of months before then i brought it to the correct level, n till now, its ok......

one more thging does civic 2000 n city 2002-2003 have the same power steering pump????

plz solve my problem....
