Civic.Steam from exhaust!

I guy a civic a month or so ago and it's only been driven around 400 km.
Yesterday morning i was taking it out for a bit had to drop a friend home it was dark around 4:30.I started the car it had been parked since like 3-4 days and than i went inside to get something when i got back i saw white smoke coming out of the exhaust upon closer inspection i saw that it was steam.
Now i know that a car does throw water out of it's exhaust when the engine is in tip top condition but wahts the steam for?
Where does the steam come from?

As in what goes on in the engine that steam comes out?

karachi mein aaj kal thori thund hai ais leeyay! inside the exhaust its hot n outside its cold..the temp diff causes the steam! nothing rong with ur engine or nything relax karo! notice har car seh ati hai yeh thund mein!
