Clutch plates expert opinion required

salamz i just took my car ( cultus 2002 77000 done) to the wrkshop for a checkup/ service... the guy told me k sir aap ki garee ki clutch plate chali gai hai... pak suzuki 3s pe people told me k 80000 km per aap timming belt change kerein *** tab clutch plate replace kerwa lein.. i just wanted to know if there is sum way i can check @ the clutch plate .. i mean are there any indications @ the clutch plate needs replacement ??

It is very simple.
Just rev up your engine while moving up with the right gears. If you notice that the engine tends to race to much and the car is not moving enough to match the engine speeds, then you need to check for the clutch problem.

Even then it could be just minor adjustment problem with the clutch control cable. If still the problem persists then only ask a proper mechanic to start the job.
