CNG is a Dangersous fuel?What do u think

yesterday i saw a pic in a newspaper.a cng cylinder burst and the car got fire.fire fighters were trying to ovecome the fire.CNG is a dangerous fuel.What do u think guys.Because when cylinder bursts,its destruction is like a bomb.Plz give ur comments and also tell either a company fitted cng is more safe or not.Or any safety measurements which can make cng kit more safe...

The only thing i do have against CNG conversions is in Hatchbacks(Cultus/Mehran). I'm really worried in case of a rear ender, The cylinder may NOT explode but I've seen instances namely one, in a EE80. The car in a head on collision with another, there was significant damage to the front but during the collision, the brackets came loose and the cylinder broke the back of a passenger and two ribs of the driver.
We face the same dangers as we would with a gasoline vehicle, but like "J" said, its various events inline with each other that cause it.
