CNG vs LPG

What's the difference between the two and which one is better (both mileage wise and effect on engine wise and safety wise too)?

lpg kit is cheap but lpg is expensive..
vice versa for cng.

lpg is liquid and cng is gas.
lpg if leaks is highly dangerous as its heavier than air and doesnt dissipate quickly as compared to cng.

cng tank blast though rare are highly catastrophic.

lpg has more thermal energy than cng. means more performance compared to cng.
