Could Incorrect Tire Pressure Be Causing Uneven Tread Wear on My Suzuki Alto Lapin?

I recently noticed uneven tread wear on my Suzuki Alto Lapins tires. Could low o r high tire pressure be contributing to this problem? How can I check if tire pressure is the culprit, and what should the ideal pressure be for my vehicle?

Yes, incorrect tire pressure is one of the most common causes of uneven tire tread wear. Heres how different pressure levels affect wear:

Under-inflated Tires: When tires are under-inflated, the outer edges of the tread will wear more quickly, as more of the tire’s surface area is in contact with the road. This leads to increased friction, which accelerates the wear on the edges.

Over-inflated Tires: Conversely, when tires are over-inflated, the center of the tire tread bears most of the weight, leading to faster wear in the middle of the tread. Over-inflation also reduces the tires ability to grip the road, which can compromise safety.

Solution:

Regularly check tire pressure and make sure it is set to the manufacturers recommended level. For the Suzuki Alto Lapin, the ideal tire pressure is typically listed in the owner’s manual o r on a sticker inside the driver’s side door frame.
Invest in a good quality tire pressure gauge to monitor the pressure.
Use a compressor o r visit a service station to adjust the tire pressure as needed.
