i have replaced the braking system of Daewoo Racer and used it for around 4 years with no problems ...the car is with a person i know and he must be happy abt it too.... here is how it works
1. Daewoo has a Cross-linked Braking system to Handle well in corners in Snow and Wet areas...
2. When we press paddle the Right Front brake plus the left rear brake comes into action and keeps the car on Track...
3. The brakes are designed in a manner to work as antilock braking system and respond slowly although the car is Comparitively heavy to avoid skidding in wet areas
4. Some of the cars have Leaked Braking Servo,s (the pressure leaks not the oil)
5. Two ways to get rid of it
(a)Remove the old Braking servo and put in either a Toyota Corona,s Braking Servo and Master cylinder with non-return valve and little Piping modification.this is the best solution
(b)Keep the existing Servo (highly not recommended coz it doesnt wotk well on less Vaccuums) and change the piping system to 2xFront+2xRear
6. Are you expereincing less effective braking when the AC is on....it is due to the faulty Servo....it doesnt hold the Vaccumm well...
