Deep Scratches from Road Debris on Alto Lapin
After driving on a road with loose gravel, I noticed several deep scratches on the lower parts of my Alto Lapin. These scratches seem to have gone beyond the clear coat and into the base paint. How can I address these deeper scratches to prevent rusting and further damage?

Road debris like gravel can cause deep scratches that may expose the metal, making the area more susceptible to rust and further damage if left untreated.
Solution:
Clean the Area First: Clean the scratched area thoroughly to remove any dirt o r debris. This will help prevent any additional damage during the repair process.
Touch-Up Paint: For deep scratches, you can use a touch-up paint kit that matches your car’s color. Apply the paint in thin layers using a fine brush, allowing each layer to dry before applying the next. This will help fill in the scratch and prevent the exposed metal from rusting.
Clear Coat Application: After the touch-up paint dries, apply a clear coat over the area to match the rest of the car’s gloss and protect the repair.
Preventing Rust: If the scratches are large and exposing metal, consider applying an anti-rust primer before applying touch-up paint to protect the area long-term.
Professional Help: If the scratches are too deep o r extensive, it may be best to visit a body shop for a more thorough repair that could involve sanding, priming, and repainting.
