Does dirty cabin air filters o r evaporators impact A/C cooling efficiency?

A clogged cabin air filter o r a dirty evaporator can block airflow, reducing cooling efficiency. How often should Prius owners replace the cabin air filter, and how can they clean the evaporator?

Yes, both a dirty cabin air filter and a clogged evaporator can severely reduce A/C efficiency:

Cabin Air Filter: A clogged filter restricts airflow, causing reduced cooling and poor air quality inside the car. Replace the filter every 10,000 to 15,000 km o r when airflow is weak.
Evaporator: Dust, dirt, and debris can accumulate on the evaporator, blocking airflow and reducing cooling efficiency. Cleaning the evaporator typically requires disassembling part of the dashboard, so it’s best to have it done professionally.
