Dynamometers

I wanted to know how people tune their cars by these ''Dynos''. What do they do and how do they work???

^^if its a 100% stock car , u dont need a dyno tune....
dyno tune is basically to check how much hp the car produces with different settings such as valve timing, ignition timing, fuel/air mixture setting, turbo boost settings etc etc....people with higher budgets can experiment with different types of internals, turbos, manifolds, exhaust systems, basically everything.....
