Electrical system problem in Datsun 120y B210

Hello every one,

I have a Datsun Sunny 120y 1974 model. It has some problem in the electrical system. It's battery gets low in maximum two days. I have installed new battery almost three weeks back so there is no problem with the battery.

The alternator installed in the car is with internal regulator (mechanics call it automatic generator/alternator) and it is properly charging the battery. i have checked it with DMM, on idling, the charging voltage is around 13.6 volts and as the RPM increases, the charging voltage goes to around 14.2 volts.

I have also checked for current leakage, its about 13mA when the switch is completely off.

kindly help me out about this problem

Thank you every one.

There is no security system installed in it.

The alternator is an upgrade. i searched on internet for it and i got the wiring modifications which i had to do in order to install an Internally Regulated Alternator and as far as the charging voltage of alternator is concerned, i think its is working properly. voltage is around 14.2 volts when engine speed is 1500 RPM or more.

I doubt there is something wrong with the ignition coil or distributor. can these two things be the reason of current leakage?
