Engine oil a little more than upper mark

In my cuore, I've observed that when I take out the dip stick even in cold state, the engine oil is a bit more than the upper limit mark. Could it be harmful for the engine?

Oil should not be above max mark in cold state. However a small over limit oil will not harm engine in anyway. If oil exceedes too much, it may enter into geat box, or crankshaft may experience some extra forces while rotating out of the oil sump due to more oil.
