Engine Oil and ATF Question

Engine Oil and ATF Question

Is it ok if the engine oil and the atf is about 1/2 inch above the recommended mark or should I drain out some and if I have to drain it out how do I do it especiall with the ATF?

I recently checked the engine oil level and it is about 1/2 an inch above the F mark and also the ATF is about 1/2 an inch above the recommended mark when I checked it with the car running coz I heard that's how the atf is checked.

Please advise me as I dont want to run into any engine / auto transmission problems.

Thanks.

AFT: u need to drive some 8-10 kms in all gears, also some in reverse to get them soaked in ATF properly and then take the reading with engine running. This will be the exact reading. dont drive more or it will heat up the ATF and false reading will b read.

Engine oil: Dont take an early mornig cold reading. Start the engine 2-3 mins. Stop, wait for 2 minutes and then take the stick out, wipe it and check again, Hope DILI MURAD PORI HOO GI
