Engine pistons!!!

ello every1...
yar ... i am goin to overall the engine of my lancer 1.3 ....
i was thinkin to increase the bore size of its pistons.. the mechanic told me that it will increase the car's pick...
now i wanted to ask dat if it will increase the acceleration.. n if there r ne negetives of increasing the bore size...
how much sud i increase its size??
thankin in anticpation...

Thats a mighty fine idea, but have you thought about what pistons are you going to install after the bore? there's alot of considerations as you have to keep the bore stroke ratio in mind as to not turn into a over/under square engine. A bigger bore means waekend cylinder walls and so on and so forth.
Stick to stock or do a swap, our machining industry is still ages behind the rest of the world.


Increasing Engine Bore will not make any noticeable difference, instead increase fuel intake with high compression pistions.
