Engine Sounds Tic Tic

Engine Sounds Tic Tic

Hi, i have Hyundai Santro 2004 4Cylinder Car.
Few days back while i was driving on highway my car got heated, i stopped turned off the engine and tow chain my car to workshop. My mechanic said that car engine is safe and only gaskit needs to be replaced.
Next morning my car started perfectly, infact engine sounds normal while it is stopped but when i accelerate this Tic Tic kinda sound comes out of engine kinda annoying one. I have checked car tappets but still sound is there.
Please let me know what may be the reason? Is it related to pistons?

Thanks....

Sir if anything happens to pistons or rings, you will either see oil leaks or black smoke from exhaust accompanying with a major loss in performance.

Rings/Pistons do not need replacement in such a short period.

Do get your gaskit checked, your car can heat up too much because of that and it can be serious, can even cause an engine failure in extreme cases.

If you can, also do a complete checkup of engine seals and check the valve clearance and engine oil, radiator and fan speed.

Your A/C compressor can also put too much load on engine and can cause overheating with extended driving.

If your radiator fan is Auto, check the thermostat.
