Exaust have no sound why ??plz help

hi guys got a new exaust for my civic 2k5 exi i installed it with 2.5 inch pipe but i didnt removed the center CAT or known as central dholki but there's not even an inch of an sound or any plz advise should i remove the central CAT and i know this might be the wrong section but how the hec do u start in general section ????
