Feedback on 1N Turbo and 2.0D Engines

I am going to convert my Kia Spectra automatic to a diesel engine. Which engine will be suitable? Please note that I am making this conversion because its fuel average on petrol is very bad; 6Km/L so want to get rid off this. Please suggest whether Corolla 1N Turbo or Corolla/Nissan 2.0D will be a good choice. I want to have the auto transmission in place after conversion.

Dont even try to put any other petrol engine. a friend tried to do it with much loved Toyota EE100 and the car still gave 6 Km/liters. Apart from that it was barely able to move. Car has more weight then Corolla etc. thats why its not economical. Its own engine is designed for itself so it runs the car best, with a compromise on economy though. Diesel converted spectra's are around, i have seen 3 4 of them. Its not that bad, if u put in enforced suspension in the front, its fine, Foundations are needed to be modified, obviously. Good alteration depends on the person doing it and parts he is using.

Why not go for CNG. Works fine with A/T Spectra.
