Dear intelligent & smart-minded friends,

this post is to meant to explore the purpose of CNG and scope of this type of fuel system.

CNG +ve Points

* Low Fuel Cost
/li
* Alternative to Petrol, good at some times
/li

CNG -ve Points

* Requires more maintainance
/li
* Refueling required at higher frequency
/li
* Ruins the engine after certain time
/li
* Disturbs the suspension
/li
* No Cabin space available in small compact cars
/li
* Carrying a pressurized cylinder of flamable is a risk
/li
* Reduced Acceleration (atleast by 10% )
/li

Conclusion:

If you need only fuel economy, and alternative source of fuel, than CNG is good.

and if other points (-ve s) are more valuable to you, than don't install CNG kit.

SCOPE OF CNG VEHICLE:

People having enough money to drive using petrol don't see any benifits of CNG, but ppl with low monthly budget can't drive car without CNG on daily basis even for longer distances they sometime prefer to use local transports even having car in their garage!

I'm neither pro nor anti CNG but i have to point out a few of your points:

Alternative to Petrol, good at some times - it's an alternate so it has both + & - points but you can't just generally say "good at some times" - that's biased

Ruins the engine after certain time - Not true

Disturbs the suspension - suspension should be altered/ changed as part of a conversion, sadly people don't do this.

Carrying a pressurized cylinder of flamable is a risk - so is carrying a tank full of highly flamable petrol

Reduced Acceleration (atleast by 10% ) - generalized statistic
