Gear Box stuck in first

Yesterday when i tried to reverse my charade, it decided to move the other way

Now the gearbox is stuck. It only stays in previously neutral or reverse position. No other position possible as it is stuck.

Whatever position it is in, the car has only one manzil. "aagay hi aagay, it doesn't want to move back".

Anyone had this problem??? And the possible solution other than changing the gearbox???
