Gear Oil replacement

Gear Oil replacement

Hi,
Any body know about gear oil replacement, just like Engine Oil
i.e First drain Old one, Then Add New/////

Or Simple Add some new oil to make Proper Oil level.

and also about Power stearing Oil replacement// ???

A month ago my FX"s Gear Barrings were to be changed ..At that time after replacing the barring and then readjusting the gear box with th engine they just added (Mixed) about 3/4 of a liter of Gear Oil in the old gear oil... gear oil is not to be changed frequently as it does not get ruined so quickly coz about of friction in a gear box is less than that of Engine...Also temperature does not get so much high also ..etc...
Suggestion: Just check it at any time that is the gear oil in form..if is then dn't worry ...
