Most likely a Hybrid car. Currently, Toyota and Honda mass produce their versions of Hybrids. A Hybrid car has two engines, one electric for slow, intial speed, 0-30-40MPH, and switches to Petrol Engine 40+MPH.

The Toyota Claims that its Prius gives close to 60miles per gallons. Or roughly, 15miles per liter. or yet again roughly, 23kilometers per liter. Which is far better then 800CCs anywhere in the world.
