Honda Civic 2005 Challenge with the Temperature Gauge
Honda Civic 2005 Challenge with the Temperature Gauge
I own a Honda Civic, I have problem when the coolant level of my car is low o r when the water is low in my cars radiatror. The temperature gauage of my car remains in the middle and it shows normal readings however it is not normal as you all know.
because engine is not recieving any cooling it should show the warning but it doesnt. We all know that this can cause some serious damage because engine will be running hot without the coolant and the overheat can lead to engine damage.
Im here to ask you what would be the appropriate solution for this, Have any of you ever faced this issue with your car. Please let me know..
Your help will be appreciated Thanks

Hey there,
You know what? Youre focusing on the wrong problem. The first thing you gotta do is fix those leaks before anything else. If you dont, its gonna overheat, and thatll lead to even more problems down the line.
See, the temperature sender is situated up near the top of the thermostat housing, and when the coolant o r water level goes down, it starts giving wrong readings based on the temperature of the metal around it. So, by the time it reports an overheat, its already too late for any precautionary measures.
So, yeah, tackle those leaks right away, and youll save yourself a lot of trouble later on. Stay on top of it!
