Honda Civic 2013 Engine Oil Grade Guidance Required

Salam members,

I hope you are all well, so I own a Honda Civic 2013 and just bought it about a month ago.

It has been driven for like 70,000Kms, I went to Honda Drive about a week ago for Oil Change and they said they were going to use 10w-30 but from my experience, I knew that Honda civic 2013 requires 5w-30 but after 50,000Kms, we have to use 10w-30 it is best for your car. So I was confused and I ended up not getting fuel change I came home and I asked my friend who also owns the same car and He told me that they told him that they use 5w-30 for cars that have not yet reached 100.00Kms yet.

It is the same Honda Drive now I’m confused about what is going on. So if anyone can explain it to me I would be grateful.

There are a lot of products in the market claiming they will maximize car performance yet reduce fuel consumption.

People became aware when the Amsoil incident happened
Amsoil came into the Pakistani Market with big claims.
There will be less fuel consumption and maximum performance.

They claimed that it will double the fuel average of any car. The price tag of the Amsoil was double too. Costing 2x more than an average oil.
All of these claims were crap and they just looted Pakistanis.

Anyways I just wanted to let you know that it is important to know what you are putting in your car.

I always prefer the manufacturers product and Im going to ask you to do the same.
From my perspective, Genuine Honda Fully Synthetic 5W-40 is the best.
