Honda Civic Reborn Petrol Average

I own a Honda Civic 2000 and was planning to buy a Reborn but I’m a little bit confused about the fuel average of the Honda Civic Reborn.
The Model I want to buy is Honda Civic 2008 Pros I-VTEC but my friend who owns the same car told me that He is getting 6-7 kmpl.

I want to know is this the fuel average of Civic Reborn if not than what can be done to increase the fuel average? The car is not that old it has only been driven 13,000 km.
If anyone can solve this issue I would be grateful.
