Honda Civic Reborn Transmission shifting Issue
Honda Civic Reborn Transmission shifting Issue
I own a Honda Civic 2010 Reborn and it has 90,000KMs on the odometer. Now the problem is when I start my car, It shifts from N to D and through the gears comes a Big Jerk. It only happens sometimes it happens randomly. Plus the Drive is limited to first o r sometimes second gears only.
I found a solution but it is not permanent and it is annoying to keep doing this. I just have to park the car and put in P and turn the car on and off a couple of times. It solves the problem but it comes back after a while. I know for a fact that there is nothing wrong with the transmission it works smoothly and shifts gears flawlessly.
When I restart my car the D light doesn’t blink, otherwise, the problem in transmission would have been indicated.
I don’t know what the root cause of the problem is and I want to fix it as soon as possible, I suspect that it could be a faulty MAF sensor but I’m not sure. So if anyone can help me with this It would really mean a lot.

I can think of only two problems that you might be facing.
1. Transmission Lube Regulating Valve might be getting stuck in partial position, Then the gear selects is hitting into drive.
2. Your Internal ATF Strainer is clogged and it is not allowing full oil volume to get pulled by the pump.
In order to fix this issue you will have to tear down your transmission and rectify it properly, But you should disconnect your battery till the gearbox fails
Then replace it with Junked one.
