I'm not sure about the difference between horse power and cc. Are they the same things.

hey are not same, cc (cubic centimeters) is the volumetric capacity of the cylinder(s). This is the displacement from TDC to BDC. e.g 999cc engine with 3 cylinders means 333 cc for each cylinder.

HP (horse power) is the amount of work done by a horse to pull 33000 pounds through a distance of 1 ft. equivalently it is 746 watts.
