A stuck thermostat can cause overheating in the Suzuki Alto Lapin by restricting the flow of coolant. When the thermostat is stuck in the closed position:

Coolant Flow is Blocked: The thermostat is designed to open and allow coolant to flow from the engine to the radiator once the engine reaches a certain temperature. If it remains closed, the coolant cannot circulate to dissipate the heat generated by the engine.
Engine Temperature Rises: Without proper coolant circulation, the engine temperature will rise rapidly, and the engine will start to overheat.
Damage to Engine Components: Overheating caused by a stuck thermostat can result in serious damage to vital engine parts, such as the cylinder head, head gasket, and even the engine block. Prolonged overheating may lead to the engine seizing up, resulting in expensive repairs o r even the need for a full engine replacement.
