How Can I Check if the Alternator Is Charging Properly in My Suzuki Cultus?
I suspect that the alternator in my Suzuki Cultus may not be charging the battery properly, but I’m not sure how to confirm it. How can I check if the alternator is working properly and charging the battery? Is there a simple test I can do, o r should I take it to a mechanic?

You can perform a simple test to check if your Suzuki Cultus’s alternator is charging properly:
Using a Multimeter:
Set the multimeter to DC voltage and measure the voltage across the battery terminals with the engine running.
A healthy alternator should produce a voltage between 13.5V and 14.5V. If the voltage is lower than this range, the alternator may not be charging the battery properly.
Test the Battery Voltage:
With the engine off, measure the battery voltage. It should be around 12.5V. If it’s much lower than this, it may indicate a problem with the alternator o r the battery.
Observe the Battery Warning Light: If the alternator is failing, the battery warning light on the dashboard may illuminate, indicating that the alternator isn’t charging the battery.
Solution:
If the voltage reading is out of range too high o r too low, it’s best to take the vehicle to a mechanic to check the alternator’s health.
If the alternator is not charging correctly, you may need to have it replaced.
