How can Prius owners test if their water pump is working properly?

If a Prius is overheating o r showing cooling system errors, how can owners test whether the water pump is functioning correctly? Are there any DIY methods to check coolant flow, pump noise, o r electrical faults?

Check Coolant Flow: With the engine running, open the coolant reservoir carefully and observe if coolant is circulating, o r check for any movement in the radiator.
Listen for Noises: Any grinding, whining, o r rattling sounds coming from the pump area may indicate a failing pump.
Monitor Engine Temperature: If the engine consistently overheats, the pump could be the issue.
OBD-II Scan: Use an OBD-II scanner to check for any coolant system-related error codes.
