How Do Poorly Inflated Tires Affect the Fuel Economy of My Suzuki Cultus?

I’ve heard that under-inflated tires can lead to poor fuel efficiency, and I’m wondering if this is causing the fuel economy problems in my Suzuki Cultus. How can I check the tire pressure, and what is the optimal pressure for getting the best fuel economy out of my car?

Poorly inflated tires are one of the main contributors to poor fuel economy. When your tires are underinflated, the rolling resistance increases, meaning the engine has to work harder to move the car, which consumes more fuel.

How It Affects Efficiency: For every 1 PSI pound per square inch in tire pressure, fuel efficiency can decrease by around 0.2%. This can add up over time and lead to noticeable increases in fuel consumption.
Additional Wear on Tires: Under-inflated tires also cause uneven tire wear, which can shorten the lifespan of your tires and increase maintenance costs.
Solution:

Check Tire Pressure Regularly: Use a reliable tire pressure gauge to check the pressure at least once a month. Follow the recommended PSI for your Suzuki Cultus, which can typically be found in the owner’s manual o r on a sticker inside the driver’s side door frame.
Maintain Correct Tire Pressure: Ensure the tire pressure is always at the optimal level for the best fuel economy and tire longevity.
