Power steering fluid leaks are one of the most common causes of steering-related problems in the Suzuki Cultus. The power steering system relies on fluid to assist with turning the wheels, and when there is a fluid leak, it can significantly affect steering performance.

Heavy Steering: If there is a loss of power steering fluid, the steering wheel becomes much harder to turn, leading to heavy steering. This can be particularly noticeable during low-speed maneuvers, such as parking.
Steering Noise: A lack of fluid can also cause the power steering pump to make whining o r whining noises when the steering wheel is turned.
Leak Locations: Common locations for leaks include steering hoses, steering rack seals, and the power steering pump. Environmental factors, such as heat and dust, can accelerate wear and lead to leaks in the fluid system.
Solution: Regularly check the power steering fluid levels and inspect for signs of leaks. If a leak is detected, it’s important to have the damaged hoses o r seals repaired and the fluid refilled, which may cost around PKR 3,000 to 5,000 for a fluid change and minor repairs.
