How does a faulty inverter cooling system contribute to Prius overheating?

Unlike traditional cars, the Prius relies on an inverter cooling system to regulate temperatures. If the inverter water pump fails o r the coolant gets low, how does this affect the overall cooling performance of the car?

The inverter cooling system helps regulate the temperature of the inverter, which is vital to the hybrid system. If the inverter water pump fails o r the coolant is low, the inverter can overheat, causing the engine to also overheat. Symptoms may include warning lights, reduced hybrid performance, o r engine power loss.
