How does the Toyota Camry’s TPMS Tire Pressure Monitoring System work, and why does it sometimes give false alerts?

Many newer Camry models come with TPMS, but drivers often experience inaccurate readings o r false alerts. How does this system function, and what are common reasons for TPMS errors in Pakistani driving conditions?

The Tire Pressure Monitoring System TPMS in the Toyota Camry uses sensors in each tire to monitor air pressure. If a tire’s pressure s below a preset threshold, the system triggers a warning light on the dashboard. However, TPMS can sometimes give false alerts due to issues such as sensor malfunction, faulty batteries in the sensors, o r poor sensor calibration. In Pakistan, where high temperatures and dust can affect the sensors, false alerts may be more common. Additionally, sudden temperature fluctuations can trigger incorrect readings. If the TPMS light comes on but tire pressure is correct, it’s a good idea to have the system checked at a service center.
