How much power

helo guys asa
can ne 1 tel me how much power should b given to a sub of 800 watts
is 600 watts power enuf for the sub 12inch n speakers of 600 watts kenwood kfc 698

Here are the specs for u'r speakers:

Speaker Size 6" x 9"
Design 3-way
Sensitivity 93 dB
Frequency Response 25Hz - 33kHz
Peak Power Handling 300 watts
RMS Power Handling 75 watts
Impedance 4 ohms
Top Mount Depth 3-5/16"
Bottom-mount depth 3-3/4"

So feed it anything between 50 and 75 Watts RMS ... again RMS ... not peak. RMS is the continuous power that the speaker works at ... not the Peak.

If u'r sub can handle 250 RMS (which I'm not very sure it will) ... feed it 250Watts.

Rule of Thumb: Allways feed the speakers or woofers the RMS (or continuous ) power. Peak power doesn't mean much in reality ...
